Pro and Contra AllergEvo & Allergen

We offer two qualities of encasings. Both are mite-proof, but follow different philosophies: AllergEvo is a kind of microfiber, feels like cotton and can be washed as often as you like. Allergen is coated, much thinner and feels more like silk, but can only be washed 20 times, then the protection of the coating is gone, similar to snow suits.

Allergen

Pro:

• can be purchased for up to a whole year
• saves work
• Allergenic components are not so often redistributed in the room
• waterproof
• breathable

Contra:

• feels like plastic to some people (subjective perception)
• does not absorb sweat because of the coating
• expensive (because more complicated to produce)

AllergEvo

Pro:

• breathable
• absorbs sweat (must therefore be washed more often)
• cheaper

Contra:

• must be washed after 3 months
• Allergenic components are distributed in the room anew each time you move in

Conclusion:

We recommend the combination set: mattress cover made of allergen, pillow and blanket cover made of AllergEvo. As the mattress is the most difficult to cover, you only have to do this work once a year, in between you wipe it with a damp cloth. Pillow covers are easy to cover, so the cheaper AllergEvo is practical here. So you get the best value for money.
