With this seat cushion you sit by the Visco foam very pleasantly and in any case softer. For longer sitting, however, it should still have a base (eg a harder cushion / pillow) underneath or at least a straight surface. As a wheelchair cushion that lies directly on a linkage, it is not necessarily suitable.

Visco foam was originally developed by NASA for the US space program. It responds to your individual body shape, weight and temperature and conforms perfectly to any body shape. Due to the viscoelastic and thermoactive properties of visco foam, this seat cushion adapts perfectly to your body shape. The seat contact area is increased and the pressure load is distributed over the entire surface. The shape of the seat cushion in combination with the Visco foam ensure an even distribution of sitting pressure and thus the correct sitting posture and a normal load on the intervertebral discs and pelvis. The risk of pressure sores is significantly reduced. With only slight movements on the nub layer, a massage effect is also achieved. Blood flow to the blood vessels is mobilized, further supporting pressure relief. In addition, the nap structure provides for pronounced air ventilation, which gives condensation of body moisture no chance.

Which height is right for me?

Visco foam ideally requires a cushioned base. If you have an upholstered seat surface that is too hard as a base, then pure Visco foam at 5 cm is sufficient, as in the case of a wheelchair cushion that is too hard, for example, or an office chair that is too hard. If your "base" has an ergonomic shape, the Visco foam will adapt to this shape and you will be able to feel it. If the base on which you want to use the cushion has no basic padding, e.g. a wooden chair, a height of 10 cm with a cold foam base is more suitable.

First put the next larger size, or if you want a larger one, the largest one in the shopping cart. Then add the product "Surcharge special size seat or wheelchair cushion (up to max. 50 x 50 cm)" to the shopping cart as well. As the name suggests, the cushion must not be larger than 50 x 50 cm. If you need a larger cushion, please add the product "Surcharge wheelchair cushion up to 5 cm more" to the shopping cart until the desired size is covered.
